  1. A place to go if you like to combine food and history

Manuel was very welcoming when we arrived and showed us his house witch is located in an historic district of Lisbon.
The starters were delicious, from the “queijo fresco” (a cheese made from sheep’s milk) to the chamuças (lightly spiced).
The first entrée was codfish and shrimp vol-au-vent with salad and it was delicious. I had to restrain myself not to eat all of them.
The second entrée was Coq au Vin and I found it a little bland, lacking flavour.
The rest of the meal was delicious, finishing with a wonderful moist and flourless chocolate cake.
If you like history and be led to the past by your imagination, this is the place to go. Keep up the good work, Manuel!
