Carlos Vianna Brandi is a retired engineer, 65 years old, born in Brazil and also a Portuguese citizen. He’s been living near Lisbon since 1988, nowadays only with his wife. One of their children is a professional cook in London. Cooking has been part of the family DNA at least for three generations.
Amateur cook for long, he’s been developing his knowledge and gastronomic practice in an organized way. From his intense journeys around the world, for professional or touristic reasons, he absorbed other flavours and practices, but his cooking is basically Mediterranean and Portuguese. With emphasis on aromatic herbs, which he cultivates, dried herbs and spices.
After leaving his job as an engineer, he organized at home gastronomic events at lunch time for a group of ex-colleagues. He could therefore improve the practice of serving complete meals in an organized and limited period of time.
His home, on the four countries he lived, was and always is a «meeting point» of family and friends gastronomic moments.
«Chef» Brandi, as called by his ex-colleagues, is delighted to receive you at his home, Portuguese and foreign people, «connaisseurs» or not of Portuguese cookery. To share a well organised gastronomic event, but with joy and relaxation.
